'edgy' view of things

 out on the edge
you see all kinds of things
you can’t see from the center

i love kurt vonnegut for his black humour and his digs at science and life via his powerful sci-fi novels... let me add here that in astronomy you are taught that to see the faintest stars best you look at them using your side vision, our eye is designed that way... for example, your reaction to some idiot driver trying to overtake from the wrong side is much faster... were it not all of us would have perished long ago !

about averted view...high resolution, full color viewing is best done with the central region of the eye ...in bright daylight but we use the ultra sensitive peripheral vision for low resolution but monochrome viewing ...the dim objects in the sky.
like applying lateral thinking when there is less clarity on the subject?
